We are a community of people who are on a journey. We have imperfect lives, but we are pursuing and experiencing a transforming personal relationship with Jesus and with each other. Everybody is welcome here, whatever your story, your questions, doubts or struggles. We’re all about doing life together in community, being intentional about our growth and serving one another and our broader community as we go.
We want to be a people that demonstrate the reality of God and the power of His kingdom by being real people who live real lives in the context of a personal relationship with a real God.
We also want to demonstrate God’s kingdom by seeing lives transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We see ourselves as part of the wider Church in Caerphilly and Wales and are eager to work with other churches to help release the enormous potential that exists when churchs work together in unity.
What do we do?
As a church we are seeking to provide opportunities for people at all stages of their lives to:
- Grow in their relationship with God
- To support and encourage each other
- To make a difference in the community in which we live
All that we do as a church is focussed on these three areas. For example, our regular Sunday church services help us spend time together looking at God’s word (the Bible) and worshipping Him through songs and video. Our mid week small groups are a time when we can really get to know each other better and support and encourage each other and Club 707 is a great opportunity for the teenagers to do the same. Through our Club 707 Schools, summer Kid’s Club and Community Carol Service we are seeking to serve our local community.
We also plan regular social events such as our Treasure Hunt which are just great fun! Many of our events inevitably seem to involve food – an area in which we appear to excel!
Why do we ‘do church’?
Because we believe that Jesus is ‘good news’ for everyone! We have experienced His life changing power in our own lives and want others to do so too.
We want to show that following Jesus is NOT boring, that Chrisitanity is NOT about rules and regulations but about a living relationship with the one who gave His life that we might enjoy life to the full.
We also want to demonstrate in all kind of practical ways what it means to be a Christian, what Church is meant to be like and how having that kind of a church in the community should be ‘good news’ for the community!
